Overview

The research project ATREUS investigates the potential of latest Web technologies for ubiquitous computing applications with a special focus on the interplay of mobile devices and urban screens. We explore novel interaction techniques enabled by web-based applications and evaluate them in lab and field studies in order to make smartphone browsers to innovative and attractive remote controls for interactive applications on public displays. The ATREUS software framework is publicly available on BitBucket under the GNU General Public License.

ATREUS is conducted by FTW Telecommunications Research Center Vienna and funded by netidee.
